American pop legend Dionne Warwick announced on Friday at the Cannes Film Festival that she and AMBI Pictures are producing a film based on her real life story that will cover her career in the 1960s.
The Biopic is called "Dionne" starring Lady Gaga, Letoya Luckett, Olympia Dukakis, and Danny Glover. However, shortly after the announcement was made, Lady Gaga's representatives sent out a statement saying: “She is not attached and will not appear in this project." According to sources, Gaga, who was supposed to play Cilla Black, Dionne Warwick's "musical nemesis" and biggest rival, had never heard of the project.
However, The Hollywood Reporter columinist Chris Gardner got an opportunity to talk with Dionne Warwick and said that the singer is "confident that Lady Gaga will stay in the project" and they're just waiting on email from management to come through.
