Lady Gaga's message for LGBT people after Orlando tragedy: "Stand strong with your pride"

Countless celebrities including Lady Gaga have offered their sympathy to the families of the victims of the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida where atleast 50 LGBT people were killed. The tragedy, which happened last Saturday, is considered as one of the worst mass shooting incident in the U.S. history and one of the worst hate crimes against the gay community. The city of Orlando is now under the state of emergency, according to reports.

 

Moved by the tragic news, Lady Gaga, an advocate for LGBT and women rights, took to Instagram and shared a photo of a rainbow, along with the message: "Stand strong with your pride, it belongs to you. Love is opposite of hate. My sincerest mourning for LGBTQ's suffering today. I pray for gun control and a cultural revolution of kindness. For all people. We can't divide in the face of evil, we must stick together and heal each other we are brothers and sisters."

Lady Gaga further posted on social media, saying, "I pray for all the victims families during this shooting epidemic. That their plan be met with compassion and support from the world."
