Lady Gaga to join Dalai Lama in a conference to promote kindness and compassion.

According to a report from IndyStar.com, Lady Gaga is set to join the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet at the J.W. Marriott Grand Ballroom in Indianapolis on Sunday (June 26th) at the United States Conference of Mayors Annual Meeting where more than 300 American mayors are expected to attend.

The Dalai Lama, a monk of the newest school of Tibetan Buddhism called the Gelug school, is expected to give the conference's keynote address urging local action to build kind and compassionate cities in the United States following the tragic mass shooting happened in Orlando, Florida earlier this month. Afterward, Lady Gaga, a well-known human rights advocate, will join him for an onstage conversation, to be moderated by journalist Ann Curry. The panel will also include businessman and philanthropist Philip Anschutz.

After the news have surfaced online, Lady Gaga took to Twitter and said that she's honored in being part of the event, saying, "I am honored to be sitting down with the Dalai Lama this Sunday to have a conversation about kindness to 300 of our important US mayors."
