Billboard.com reported exclusively on Tuesday that Lady Gaga is apparently in talks to perform at the Halftime Show of the 51st Annual Super Bowl which is set to take place at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on February 5, 2017.
The magazine is claiming that some reliable sources have informed them that the National Football League (NFL) is apparently considering Lady Gaga to headline the show. Billboard have cited that one of the main reasons why NFL is eyeing on Gaga is because of her highly acclaimed performance of the US National Anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Super Bowl last February.
When asked about Lady Gaga regarding the Halftime Show, a representative of NFL told Billboard that they don't have final decision as of the moment, saying: "We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point we do not have a final decision. We're happy there is so much excitement about the show."
During a recent radio interview with KTU 103.5, Lady Gaga reportedly said that she would definitely consider performing at the show which is a tradition during American football games. The rumours about NFL giving way for Lady Gaga to perform at the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show have started last month when TV producer Ricky Kirshner apparently revealed that Gaga, Rihanna, Pink, and Ariana Grande are the NFL's top choices to headline the show!
