Lady Gaga has finally revealed the CD label as well as the official standard and deluxe edition tracklist of her new album 'Joanne' which is scheduled for release on October 21st.
The album's standard edition includes 11 songs while it's deluxe edition features 14 songs. Included on the album is a song Lady Gaga recoded with English musician Florence Welch called 'Hey Girl'. The album also features the track she made with Father John Misty called 'Sinner's Prayer' as well as a song she co-wrote with Beck called 'Dancin In Circles'.
The album will also include a song produced and reworked by Mark Ronson called 'Angel Down' which is set to come out with two different versions. The album's deluxe edition will have a work tape version of the song while the main album will feature its studio version. According to some lucky fans who attended a private listening party of the album in New York City earlier this week, the work tape version of 'Angel Down' was made in collaboration with Lady Gaga's longtime producer RedOne. According to @MuhammadSlays, one of the lucky fans present at the listening party, the work tape version is one key higher than the studio version and it's the song's first take record with just Gaga's pure vocals and a piano. Fans are also looking forward to hear 'A-Yo', 'Diamond Heart', and 'Grigio Girls'. According to the lucky fans who went to the said listening party, these songs are really good and beautiful songs. @maikeeb_kills, another fan at the listening party, said on Twitter that the song 'Grigio Girls' is a 'classic Gaga record'.
Lady Gaga named the album after her father Joe Germanotta's sister, Joanne Germanotta, who tragically died from lupus at the age of 19. "The decision to name the album was in tribute to my father's sister who died when she was 19. He was younger than her. She was very sick with lupus", Gaga said in an interview with Apple Radio's Beats 1.
The new album, which features the Grammy winning musician Mark Ronson as the main executive producer, is expected to become available for pre-order on iTunes in the next few days.
