Photographed by American artist and fashion photographer Collier Schorr, Lady Gaga graces the cover of the latest issue of T Magazine, coming out on October 23rd. In an interview with the perfect-bound magazine, Lady Gaga discusses her new album 'Joanne', which was named after her father's sister who died at a very young age. "There are two sides of me. There's a side of me that is a true rebel, and then another side of me, that is my father's daughter." She said, adding: "And so this album, it doesn't mean necessarily in a particular direction which is why the album title is Joanne."
During the interview, Lady Gaga also talked about the creative inspiration behind the album's title track which she wrote using her classic Underwood Typewriter. "This song, in a lot of ways, I've realized even today, is me looking back on Joanne, and saying, 'where do you think you're going?'. You know, I had no idea where I was going."
Lady Gaga's new cover story for the magazine also revealed her plan to release a documentary to accompany her new album. "She is making a documentary about the new project, filmed the whole time", said the NY Times. The documentary film will reportedly follow Lady Gaga throughout the process of creating her new record. It's unclear when the documentary will be released, but it's possible it could premiere at the same time the album does, according to Harper's Bazaar.
In other news, Lady Gaga announces the release of her new single titled 'A-YO', coming out October 18th at 12PM EST. She shared the news on social media and debuted the track’s single cover, which shows her clutching her chest with one hand while wearing a large feathered hat that covers her eyes.
