The album earned 170,000 pure sales on its first week in music stores in the United States! With over 100,000 units away, Michael Buble's new album 'Nobody But Me' follows at No. 2.
Hits Daily Double previously announced that the new Lady Gaga album hits No. 1 on the official Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart in the United States.
The album's first week sales of over 200,000 units marks the second highest sales debut by any female artist in 2016, only behind 'Lemonade' by Beyoncé which earned 653,000 units. 'Joanne', which also launched at No. 1 on iTunes in over 60 countries, is now considered as Lady Gaga's fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
Lady Gaga's promotional efforts for the new album has paid off big time. She's now considered as the first female artist of the decade to score four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. She previously claimed the top spot with 'Born This Way' in 2011, ARTPOP in 2013, and 'Cheek To Cheek' in 2014.
